Round 5 of the Six Round Handicap Series | Fancy Dress Round
The Handicap Series offers 800m racing for less experienced scullers and 2000m racing from more experienced scullers, and to add to the fun, Round 5 is Fancy Dress Round.
Consisting of six rounds over six weeks, scullers race in heats of 8.
Handicaps determine who races against who and are designed so that heat finishes are closely contested.
Points are awarded to all scullers, with 8 points awarded to first, 7 points to second, etc. Points are accumulated over Rounds 1-5 and the final round, Round 6, is when winners and individual club bragging rights are decided.
Please download and read the Competitor Briefing Notes and study the map so that you have a good understanding of the Handicap Series and know how the bow number system works.
