Round 6 of the Six Round Handicap Series | Final Round
Round 6 is the final round of the Handicap Series where trophy winners are decided. Awards and Trophies for the Series are presented immediately after the Scullers Head of the Yarra at Yarra Yarra Rowing Club.
The Handicap Series offers 800m racing for less experienced scullers and 2000m racing from more experienced scullers.
Consisting of six rounds over six weeks, scullers race in heats of 8.
Handicaps determine who races against who and are designed so that heat finishes are closely contested.
Points are awarded to all scullers, with 8 points awarded to first, 7 points to second, etc. Points are accumulated over Rounds 1-5 and the final round, Round 6, is when winners and individual club bragging rights are decided.
Please download and read the Competitor Briefing Notes and study the map so that you have a good understanding of the Handicap Series and know how the bow number system works.
