Round One Draw up

Published Thu 18 Jun 2020

What do the heats mean?

We've tried to reflect a "normal" season, in which you are placed in a heat with an offset time at which you start rowing and which the handicapper hopes will get all the rowers to the finish line at the same time (minus those who collided with Swan Street bridge).

This year, set your ergo to 2000m(or 800m if you registered as a beginner), send in the time, this will be added to your offset and if the handicapper did good, everybody in the heat will have the same total. This won't happen of course, so points in the usual manner; eight for first, seven for second etc. Male and female with most points at the end of the season win.

Can you "game" this system more easily than an on-water version? Let's see!
